Description: Yam is known as Jimikand/Sooran in India. A traditional style of pickling this yam is very popular in the countrysides here. Especially in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, people pickle it in a very different way that tastes amazingly delicious. In this video, I am making this 'Sooran Ka Achaar' with some minor enhancements to make it more delicious. So let's get started. Please stay tune @Chef Ashish Kumar Ingredients: 250 grams of Yam(Jimikand/Sooran), 250 grams of ginger, 250 grams of garlic, 100 grams of green chilies, 1 tablespoon of fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds, 1/2 tablespoon cumin seeds, 1/2 teaspoon of black mustard seeds, 150 ml of mustard oil, 1/2 teaspoon of asafoetida, 1 teaspoon of nigella seeds, 1/2 tablespoon of turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon of chili flakes, 1/2 tablespoon of red chili powder, 1 tablespoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of dry mango powder.
